Valves/Valve Locating An irrigation valve controls the flow of water to each individual zone in your irrigation system. Valves may be placed in one specific area or in different areas throughout your property. Over time, your valves may become covered with grass or soil and may need to be found using a valve locator in order to be repaired. If you know where your valves are, make note of their location and keep them visible and free of grass and debris. Landscape Lighting Landscape lighting can be an easy way to increase your property's value and also shed light on that beautiful landscape design you installed. It adds security, ambiance and a sense of serenity whether you are coming home or simply sitting back and enjoying an evening outside with family and friends. With a professionally installed landscape lighting system, you can choose from a wide selection of light designs and arrangements to suit your personal style. System Upgrades If you have an aging irrigation system which is not operating efficiently or not providing proper coverage, consider adding on or installing new irrigation parts such as timers, spray heads, valves, etc. System upgrades should also be considered when planning to redesign your landscape. Pool Re-pipes If you are planning to install a pool at your residence, you should first have an irrigation company locate and cap the irrigation lines where the pool will be installed. After the pool has been installed, you should have your irrigation company re-pipe the irrigation around the pool and repair any damaged piping that may have occurred during the installation of the pool. This will ensure that your irrigation system will continue to provide proper coverage. NOTE: Before installing plants or turf in and around your new pool, be sure to provide your irrigation company with a pool landscape plan so that the re-pipe can be installed to properly accommodate the new plant material. Timers An irrigation timer is the main control station for your entire irrigation system. The timer tells the valves when to come on and when to go off. It allows you to customize the frequency and duration of watering. Rain Sensors A rain sensor is a device that prevents an irrigation system from operating during periods of rain. Because of water conservation efforts and laws, it is a good idea to have a rain sensor installed if you don't already have one.
